ATTORNEY BIOGRAPHY

James O'Brien has litigated cases for over 20 years.  He became a partner at a multi-state west coast litigation firm, focusing on civil litigation.

Unlike many attorneys who leave large law firms to pursue their own general legal practice, Jim specializes in landlord/tenant disputes and probate matters.   

 Jim is dedicated to understanding what results you want and to helping you understand what actions he can take on your behalf. He will work with you every step of the way to make sure that you understand the choices you are making and feel empowered to make them.

He has a law degree and MBA from the University of San Francisco.

He is  admitted to the California and Oregon State Bars and has practiced law in all Bay Area State Superior and Federal District courts.

When Jim is not practicing law he is involved, as President, of an urban outreach at-risk youth organization. He is a memeber of the San Francisco Trial  Lawyers Association and Marin Trial Lawyers Association.
